The Lazy Eye Saga... a happy ending!

Today my sweet little Jaxson had surgery to correct his lazy eye. He was losing vision in it. The surgeon had to loosen one muscle and tighten another behind his eye. Uncle Dan and I went and visited him with some balloons tonight. It is amazing how resilient a kid can be and bounce right back. He had to be constantly reminded to be calm tonight because of the anesthesia effects making him super clumsy.
Funny Jaxsonism of the night:
"I can't see, my eyeball is in the way!!"
Does it hurt?
"Yes!"
Post dose of Tylenol...
"My eye is all better!!"

Because he is so young, there is a very slight chance that when he is older he will need to have the surgery again- to further correct the muscles.
He will continue to wear his glasses for a while, and a patch over his good eye periodically to strengthen this one.
We are so grateful our prayers were answered for a successful and uneventful procedure!
