The Dream- and FHE this week!

As an addendum to my last post, when Dan woke up that morning he said- "I had this horrible dream about you!"- Oh pray tell: "I dreamt that I had to take you to an insane asylum and have you admitted! I told the psychiatrist in charge that you were pregnant, and you went crazy because you can't sleep- and the doctor couldn't do any more for you that wouldn't harm the baby! The psychiatrist told me- Oh I am going to make her sleep- we will sedate her, and the baby might die, but she needs sleep and that's why you had to bring her in!"
Poor Dan was mortified- that would be a terrible dream! We are both just taking it one day at a time and trying hard to find as much humor as we can!

We have been diligent in holding our little family home evenings and family time studying the scriptures at least 2 times a week. We usually do 3 or 4 and we have really been enjoying our discussions and studies. We try to make that studying more of a real FHE on Sunday evenings or Monday evenings. Tonight, we did our scripture study. We are in second Nephi. Today we discussed how Nephi found joy in the teachings of Isaiah and why they are important to pass on. In chapter 11, it was important to note 3 witnesses of Christ and his coming: Nephi, Jacob, and Isaiah. In our study guide tonight, at the end of our reading, we discussed things that brought us joy. Dan finds joy in our Savior and the atonement. I find great joy in the Savior- but specifically in his mercy, love, and kindness. The scriptures reiterate multiple times how the Jews in this world at the time of Christ were the only ones blinded enough by wickedness to actually crucify the Savior. Tonight we read in 2Ne chapter 10 that any other persons would have turned and repented and reconciled themselves to Christ. I can't even fathom being wicked enough to be so blinded that there was nothing that could turn me to repentance. Christ loves us so much to know what he had to endure and go through, and in this life and the next, is our most intimate and loving advocate! For that, I am extremely grateful!

After our scripture studies- Dan and I started our third trimester birthing class. Luckily we found an awesome one for free online- we are going to compile any questions we have for my doctor over the next few weeks! We also are planning to enroll in a breastfeeding/nursing class. It is amazing how much information you can arm yourself with- sometimes it can create more questions and anxiety that isn't necessary- but that is why we will address any concerns with my doctor one on one.

After we took in as much as we could hold in our online class, we built a gingerbread house. They always look so nice and pretty on the box- it was way harder than the end result appears! Next year, I think it may work better if I make my own frosting rather than using what's provided. That frosting proved really hard to work with. We did have fun though!

I am so grateful for Dan. I am grateful for our little home and family. I have truly been blessed- Dan is my very best friend!
