Where did May go?

I blink my eyes and another month is almost gone! We are busy as ever. Nothing too exciting, but definitely keeping busy. Our May has been filled with tons of play dates, picnics at the park, long walks, BBQ's with friends, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, and just lots of sunshine and fun.

My close friend Ashley's son Reagan is 2- he is very advanced for his age and he and Jax despite the year age gap play really really well together so we get together with them often. Cameron has turned into a ladies man, and really loves her daughter Mahayla. She is 9 months. He was sitting in her bouncer and she was "talking" to him, and he was "talking" back. Then he gave her the BIGGEST smile ever! It was adorable!

Here is Jax and Reag on one of our play dates!

Here is that giant smile for his little friend!

Cameron loves going for walks. He is starting to put everything to his mouth- he isn't quite coordinated to nail it everytime, but he tries hard! His favorite thing to have in his mouth is- his thumb. I am really sad about that- but it is kinda cute, and he calms himself down that way pretty good. Hopefully it doesn't become a constant pacifier- I can't just rip his hand off to take it away!

Cameron is currently full of surprises. My Auntie Carol got the first real laugh out of him! It was darling. I feel so blessed that I get to enjoy all his milestones. He is perfect!
My favorite thing he has ever done is in church last Sunday, we were singing Praise to the Man. Cameron was just laying in my lap and watching me sing. Then, he got this serious face- I mean really concentrating- and makes one of his perfect "O's" and belts out coos left and right! He even kept pretty good time with the music! My sweet little boy was singing to me in church.

I have to say I am really loving our lifestyle right now. Dan is awesomely self sufficient with Pierce & Company, and he is able to spend a lot of time with us. He participates in at least one picnic at the park a week! He is so good to help Jaxson climb and play while I tend to baby Cam. He is such a great role model for Jaxson, and for our Cameron. Cam couldn't have a better Daddy!

This year was my very first Mother's Day as a mother. My two boys got me a couple night shirts, and some money. I got to go spend a couple glorious hours alone shopping. I found a couple comfy and light maxi skirts for summer!!

Next up my other two sweet boys who I don't get to see often anymore- graduated! Kandin just turned 6 and officially graduated from Preschool. He is ready to head to kindergarten! Bridger graduated to the next year up in preschool. Amie wisely held Kandin back due to his Apraxia. Bridger has it as well, and she plans to keep him in preschool one extra year too. They have both grown in leaps and bounds though and they are smarter than ever.
They keep asking Amie to have a baby sister- they love babies! In fact, cute little Bridger was holding Cameron one day when I took Jaxson to play with them, and Cameron threw up all over Bridger. He was having a bad reflux day. Poor Bridger at 4 years old could not believe that this baby cousin he loves so much would do that to him! Amie had to have a talk with Bridger and help him understand that babies can't help it and that it wasn't on purpose. All the same though, now Bridger would rather enjoy Cameron from afar, and I don't blame him one bit.
During their preschool graduation, when they each got their diploma's, their teacher gave a little spot light about them. Kandin wants to be a Daddy when he grows up, and Bridger wants to be a Bad Guy. He is really into Batman and the like, good guys vs bad guys- he wants to be a bad guy. Too funny!!!

Cute little Bridge had to have a stool to be as tall as his classmates.

Last but not least- we end May with Memorial Day. Dan and I took Cameron for his first round of grave visits for Memorial Day. We always visit my mom. May is Mother's Day, Memorial Day, and her birthday, so I have always taken her flowers sometime in May. There is a small ache in my heart that my mom is gone- it seems to be more noticeable since I became a mother. I am so sad she is physically missing out on these beautiful grand babies and family. She is always there and I am very sure Cameron knows her well.
We also took flowers to my Grams. I know my Grandpa is missing her lately because this week when he was holding and talking to Cameron, he said to me: "I sure wish your Grandma was here to enjoy all these new babies. These kids are all so good lookin', our family is blessed!" I can't imagine how lonely he feels at times. The beauty of the gospel gives us peace in knowing they are there, and know us continually through spirit.

Our garden is in, my front yard flowers have never looked so good! Bring on the heat of June! We are ready for more fun and sun!
I was recently asked if I enjoy being a mother. My reply- I was made to be a Mom. It brings such joy and tears of happiness to my eyes to have Heavenly Father bless me so abundantly. Cameron is a daily reminder of how beautiful life is, how much of a gift life is, and how much I love Daniel. Cameron is a daily reminder of how the Lord blesses us in his time- the right time, and that we have to exercise patience and faith.
