Cameron's first camp out!

We went on the fly for an overnight trip with our best friends Steve and Nicole. We had planned various weekend camp trips all summer, and everytime, something would ruin the plans. We finally made it though, and it was a fun little overnighter. Cameron is a real scout, exploring everything, eating pine cones, and having fun! I was so so worried about sleep because we never get any, but he did surprisingly well sharing a sleeping bag with me. I will tell you what though, this trip made my body hurt- Dan and I might seriously invest in a tent trailer....
Dan also manages to get burned everytime we go camping. This time however, was my fault, and I feel so bad. I didn't think when I pulled the hot dog stick out of the coals and I rested it on the back of my chair but it slipped and got Dan. Total accident, but it is a pretty bad burn. He went to the doctor and we have been doctoring it up at bedtime. It is healing up nicely, but still a terrible experience.

Yes, he kissed her. He really loves his sweet friend Braelynn!!!

The great outdoors!

Our summer has been filled with so many fun activities!! This past weekend was probably my favorite activity we have done!
Dan really wanted to do some fishing, so did our friend Steve so we planned a day trip up to East Canyon for fishing. There were too many people doing water sports to catch anything, and the water was low and warm- but it was still a fun morning getting out and having a picnic lunch.

Isn't he the cutest, best, happiest, handsome boy ever!? These melt my heart!!! 

Lunch and morning activities wore this kid out- and after lunch, we loaded up to go try fishing at Rockport for the afternoon. Where else can you go to two different lakes and play in the same day?! I love Utah! 

Cam took advantage of the drive and had a good nap! 

Once we got to rockport, we found we were in the same scenario. Without a boat, the guys just wouldn't have caught a thing from shore, too many people playing and swimming! The water was so nice and warm, so we took advantage and played in the water too!! Cameron LOVED it! So did his sweet little friend Braelynn!!! We love doing fun things outside- especially with good friends!

Cam was super pissed at first when we got to Rockport- He takes his time waking up like I do, so he was mad that he had to wake up, and then mad we put this life vest on him. He couldn't find his balance and was really cautious while wearing it!

Bowling with our friends!!

Some of our good friends from our ward went out with us on Saturday. We went bowling, then went and ate pizza! It was a good time. Our kiddos get along good, and they are very entertaining!

Temple Square Lights

We went and saw temple square lights on Friday with our best friends Sheri, Gabi, and their cute kiddos. We went and ate at the cheesecake factory first, then out we went and looked at the candy displays in the old ZCMI/Macy's windows, and walked down main street and through temple square. It was a very cold night! The fresh snow made it sure beautiful though.
Cam had refused to take an early afternoon nap, so he had a melt down that caused some staring at dinner then fell fast asleep for the first half of our walk around. I had that kid bundled up: 2 pairs of socks, double layer pants, an undershirt, a long shirt, a 2 layer coat, hat, mittens, and 2 blankets. He had no trouble napping on our cold walk.

I managed to get a grin on the train - but I am sure he is grumpy lately because he has 2 more teeth coming in. You can see the smile in those tired eyes! Naughty napper….

Billy and Sofia! They are getting excited to get a new baby sister this January!!!
