So we will see what his weight is! We are getting more and more excited!! Today however, we also had our regular non stress testing and Cameron was not compliant!! They watch for his heart rate to raise and dip at regular intervals. His stayed really steady the whole time- which is good, but they look for reactions. They buzzed him a couple times, gave me juice to raise my blood sugar, and still he was cool as a cucumber. He was moving like crazy though, which made it really hard to keep track of his heart rate. The nurse decided to call Dr. Porter the high risk specialist and we had to do a biophysical profile- a fancy way of saying a second ultrasound. With this ultrasound today, they watched for gross motor movement, heart function, and breathing exercises. He passed that test with flying colors- but to be safe, we have to go back tomorrow for another non stress test. We usually do them twice a week, but since he was a bit naughty today, we are doing a 3rd!!
Dan is getting really anxious and excited. He keeps having dreams that Cameron comes early. Technically, he could come anytime in the next 3 weeks- though we are tentatively scheduled for an induction in a few weeks.
In preparation for bringing Cam home, we have been cleaning like crazy, and getting our to-do lists done. One item on our to-do list is to groom and bathe all the animals. Since Bella and Iliad are both long haired cats, we decided to take them to the groomer for a shave and bath. Bella isn't done yet, but Iliad looks like a lion!!! He is officially king of the house!!
