I need to make myself accountable. No more excuses.

I have hid behind the excuse that I had a baby for too long. It has been over a year. I gained too much weight in my pregnancy, and with the problems Cameron has had and that they all affect sleep, I haven't lost but 20 lbs from when I had him, and on a bad day, I can fluctuate 5 lbs easily. UGH. I am so frustrated. I had worked SO HARD to loose 200 lbs- and now over the course of my pregnancy I gained 70 and have not lost much. That is a LOT!

I started drinking soda. This is definitely my downfall. Soda and Pasta. I justify the soda because of the caffeine- Running on 3-5 chopped hours off inconsistent sleep is just not something anyone should do for an extended period of time.

I also used to exercise 5-6 days a week for 40+ minutes a day. Not doing any now. I definitely don't lead a sedentary lifestyle by any means, but chasing 3 dogs and toddler all day doesn't count. My body is too used to it. {How can it make me so tired then!?}

I really don't eat much and I don't eat crap- but I drink Coke and eat pasta. I really need to cut both. It seemed so easy last time, and now I simply keep making excuses. I am not happy with myself ever. I am sure that is affecting the wife and mother I am.

The other justification I keep making is that I am still 120-130 lbs smaller than my biggest. That is still a whole person! But it isn't good enough, not anymore.

Here was my biggest-

Here is my smallest-

 Here I am now.

 So. Gameplan. I can't get off the coke cold turkey this time. There is no way. This non sleep is killing me.
- Drink 24 oz of water for every soda. I started doing that last week and I am drinking dramatically less    coke.
- Switch back to quinoa, brown rice, and whole wheat pasta.
- Exercise! I have some plans to incorporate Cam in on my workouts.
- Wear my fitbit pedometer and track my calories.

This should be a fail safe plan as long as I stick to it!!! Wish me luck! No more excuses!

I love this post cherish. I've been using the baby excuse for as long as you have. Not anymore. That is a good idea to drink more water after a soda. A huge part of weight loss is getting sufficient sleep. I hope something is figured out soon for you and your family in that regard.

What a great post! It can be so hard to eat healthy and exercise, both of which I hate doing...but it's so important. Good for you! I know you can do it!
