10 fast months!

Fast. Incredibly. Fast. Cameron is such a blessing in our home. We laugh and cheer his accomplishments every day. He is full of personality, and with so many milestones met, he is completely proud of himself.
He is constantly on the go, and fights getting dressed or his diaper fresh. He just does not have time for such mundane tasks.

At 10 months, Cameron can:
- walk along all the furniture, and is getting brave enough to use only one hand to hold on.
- stand for a few seconds before crouching to his bum.
- has officially moved on from formula to milk. He only has formula at bedtime.
- loves to play with his doggies.
- loves "Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam".
- loves to read, eat, slobber, bang, etc… his books.
- understands when I tell him it is bath time. I am sure he understands more, but bathtime is one of his   favorite things and he crawls or cruises to the bathroom when he can hear his water running and I tell him it is bath time. We also always brush his teeth and he is getting so good at doing it himself!

This picture got all steamy but I love his expression!!!

Sleep is a struggle. It is also a struggle to hear everyone's advice about sleeping. Dan and I have literally tried EVERYTHING- (short of putting him in our bed) to get Cam to sleep. We have decided that "attachment parenting" and no tears method is the best way to respond. It will take him longer to sleep through, but he does sleep in longer stretches when we respond to him.
I felt like a horrible Mom when he came down with a cold last week because it turned out he had a horrible ear infection and a sinus infection. We didn't take him into his doctor until Saturday morning. He had run a fever on and off for 3 days, and I could literally not put him down. If he was in his crib, he would let out blood curdling screams every half hour and once we found out he had an ear infection, the light bulb came on. Dan had a terrible time with his ears as a baby, but I didn't. This is Cam's first ear infection, so I hope it doesn't become a recurring problem!! Thank heavens for motrin and antibiotics! He is sleeping again much better since his ear doesn't hurt anymore. I will take 5-6 hour stretches over 30 minutes any day!

He seems to really enjoy the Christmas music and our tree. He is actually really good about leaving it alone with the exception of two cloth ornaments that he loves to play with.

What a cutie! It's hard to believe he is already 10 months old!!! Where does the time go? It's amazing how much they develop in the first year!

Oh Cherish... I love reading about Cam's development. I get worried sometimes, because my guy isn't anywhere near in comparison, but then I have to remind myself that each child is different. Cameron is sure cute. Keep up whatever you're doing!!!!
