It has seriously been just about 3 weeks since Cameron was born. This Saturday is his actual due date. People aren't kidding when they say that all you do is feed your baby, change diapers, feed your baby, maybe sleep.... That is my current life. Dan is busy working hard, and loves to play with Cameron. He is so helpful and takes care of the entire house since I am seriously restricted on bending and lifting right now.
Tax season is getting busy! He has a bunch of new clients this year!
Cameron is starting to be awake a bit more. I wish we could get on a schedule though. Every time I think that we are trending toward a normal flow of the day, Cam decides to change it up!
He was struggling with weight gain- so against our plans- we have to supplement about half of his feedings with formula. He dropped weight clear down to 5.9lbs, but has finally gained back up and is 6.5lbs! We were so happy he put his weight and then some back on!
Having a baby is the best, hardest, most wonderful thing that can happen to a couple. In some ways, it has really challenged Dan and I, but also brought us closer together in ways that I cannot explain.
We are so in love with this little miracle blessing.
The most exciting thing to happen since Cameron has been home is meeting his cousin Jax. Jaxson was just dying to meet him. Before they met, Jaxson told Kristen: "Mom, I'll see you in a couple weeks. I have to go to work at Aunt Cherish's and hold that baby cause he is so small!"
Then, when he finally saw him the first time, he said to me, "I just couldn't believe you that Cameron was out of your tummy!" Jax is also really quick to correct you- If we call Cameron Cam, Jaxson will say, "It's NOT Cam, it's Cameron!"
He was so sweet and soft with him.
After they got home and he was half asleep, he told Kristen, "I just love that Cameron. He is my best friend. I want to hold him again."
